Chest/Back

Annoucement:

I'm switching from the lean program to the classic program for the last phase of the workout. I've decided I like the challenge that Plyo provides instead of Cardio X. The Classic version also keeps Legs & Back, while the lean version ditches it during the last four weeks. My legs definitely need it! Here's to ramping it up a wee little bit!

In other news, I did the Chest/Back workout for the first time today. Tony calls it the "Mother of all X workouts." Wait...I thought that was plyo? Apparently this program has two mommas--and they say it isn't geared towards women!

At any rate, the workout consists of two sets of 12 workouts. About 1/3 are pushups of varying styles, 1/3 are pullups, and the final 1/3 are dumbbell moves. I enjoyed it, but whew, some of those pushups got to me. (I used the bands instead of the pullup bar)

Divebomber pushups-->Scary

The little German girl in this workout was a crazy combo of hardcore and tiny! It was pretty interesting to watch her next to three big guys. She looked like she needed to wash or do something with her hair, though!

Plyo

Technically, I don't think you are supposed to do Plyo during a recovery week. So I'm kind of a wild, rule-bending kind of girl. Not really.

That being said--goodbye Cardio X! Plyo is a much more intense workout, and though it kicked me in the booty, I enjoyed it. For a high-impact workout, it was relatively easy on the knees, though my ankles were throbbing for a little bit there. No major damage seems to have occurred, though.

Boy, this thing wore me out! I had to just stop the DVD and catch my breath twice! I hope I can work up to doing the whole thing without stopping, but I think I still got plenty of a workout today.

The best part--compared to other P90x workouts, the moves are pretty simple, and it's easy to keep your eyes on the screen the whole time--meaning I could listed to music without getting behind or doing a funky messed up version of a move!

X-Streeeeeeetch

I have to apologize to this workout.

I've shunned it.

You cant blame me, though--I get an option. Rest day OR X-Stretch. Come now--which would you choose?

But I've decided to keep doing it, and today I did it for the second time. And boy was it worth it. So no more "REAL" rest days for me.

Well. Maybe...
